American Mountain Guide Association

The American Mountain Guide Association is the internationally recognized (UIAGM), non-profit association of independent American mountain guides, organized to promote high standards of safety, knowledge, skills and professionalism through training, evaluation and certification. Founded in 1979 and admitted to UIAGM membership in 1997, the AMGA provides training and certification in ski mountaineering, rock, and alpine guiding. Marmot is a corporate supporter of the AMGA.
