Dick Jackson is an internationally certified IFMGA/AMGA Mountain Guide, a USHGA T4 certified tandem paragliding instructor, adventure photographer, AIARE/AAA avalanche educator and owner/operator of both Aspen Expeditions & Aspen Paragliding. As an IFMGA/AMGA certified mountain guide, Dick guides & teaches all disciplines of Rock & Ice Climbing, Ski Mountaineering, and Alpine Mountaineering. He guides climbs, teaches avalanche education & guides backcountry ski trips around Aspen, Colorado, and the West as well as the European Alps (Chamonix +), the Himalaya, Alaska, Ecuador, New Zealand and other mountain regions around the world. Dick has climbed, skiied & flown extensively in the Colorado Rockies,the Himalaya, Alaska, and the European Alps. His first ascents include the Voie Jackson in Chamonix, France (1976) as well as the first American summit ascent of Himulchuli (7980 m), Nepal (1984). As a pilot & owner of Aspen Paragliding, Dick flies tandem and teaches paragliding (T4 (USHGA) tandem instructor). One of his passions is to climb high peaks and fly off, both solo and with passengers. Dick, his wife, Paulina, and a team of accomplished pilots & filmmakers just recently completed a unique trip & film ( 'Between Earth & Sky') to the Khumbu region in Nepal to fly local Sherpa people tandem and climb & fly off of a high peak. Lastly, Dick is currently a board member and President of the American Mountain Guides Association.
