Exum Mountain Guides

For over ten years Marmot has teamed with Exum Mountain Guides to put gear in the hands of hard working professionals and build on their advice and feedback. Exum’s experienced cadre of guides venture daily into the alpine and are never without need for high performance gear, whether it’s an spf rated base layer or a full-conditions shell. Their feedback and experience has culminated in a number of Marmot’s most highly rated products, the award winning Exum GORE-TEX® shell being the latest.

Exum guides all peaks and all routes in the Grand Tetons and Wind Rivers, offering a unique brand of participatory mountaineering adventure to beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers alike. The core program focuses on an ascent of the spectacular Grand Teton. Two days of instruction in fundamental climbing and mountaineering skills lead up to the two-day ascent of the 13,780’ granite spire. Exum’s tradition of learning-oriented guiding allows clients to participate in the climb by utilizing skills acquired during the two days of training. Exum also offers family friendly rock climbing and rappelling schools, advanced rock climbing training, snow schools (early season) and alpine ice seminars.

In winter Exum offers avalanche courses, guided backcountry skiing, peak ascents and ski mountaineering adventures. Exum guides have international guiding and climbing experience. Most are certified by the American Mountain Guides Association, and Exum is a certified member of the American Mountain Guides Association. Ongoing Marmot Partnership

Marmot is proud to be the official uniform provider of Exum Mountain Guides. In addition Marmot is involved with several other projects and initiatives with Exum.
