Marmot Athlete Gets Hitched

There are not too many events that pull climbers and skiers away from spring climbing in Yosemite, ski touring in Scandinavia, free-skiing in Chamonix, and alpine climbing in the Himalaya. But last weekend 120 people, including 5 Marmot athletes, 8 mountain guides, and so many other climbers, skiers and friends gathered in Estes Park, Colorado to celebrate and party as Marmot athlete Keith Garvey married longtime partner and ripping climber/skier/all-around athlete, Krista Javoronok. Highlights of the weekend included – an incredible outdoor ceremony with a backdrop of the Diamond on Longs Peak, a rocking dance party under the stars fueled by a great local dj and plenty of Patron tequila, a session of throwing ourselves off a local cliff on a sketchy homemade zip-line, and lots of climbing on the granite domes of Lumpy Ridge and the walls of Eldorado Canyon.
