Colorado Mountain School

The Colorado Mountain School, operating under different names, has been guiding continually since 1877 and is the exclusive technical climbing concessionaire for Rocky Mountain National Park. As an AMGA accredited guide service, CMS takes great pride in our guide's education - all of our guides have AMGA training, and we have several full-time IFMGA certified guides. We throughout Colorado and the world, focusing on technical skills and ascents while working with beginners and experts alike including families, kids and groups. As the state's largest guide service, CMS offers instruction that spans the mountain disciplines: rock and ice climbing, mountaineering, navigation, rescue, backcountry skiing, and avalanche education.
