The International Snow Science Workshop (ISSW) exists to faciliate the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and experiences between snow science researchers and practioners. The motto of the International Snow Science Workshop is "The Merging of Theory with Practice". ISSW hosts a biennial conference in the western North American mountain region that brings together researchers and practioners from all over the world.

The next ISSW Conference is slated for September 21 - 27, 2008 in Whistler, BC
