Arapahoe Basin Ski Area

An immortal winter giant, the mountain stands tall with a summit elevation of 13,050 feet, blanketed in fresh snow. From the base it invites you, calm and silent. Over a hundred trails expertly carved through its depths and seven chairlifts raising excited patrons to the sky, you stand in awe, captivated by its brilliance as the sun peaks curiously through the snow-filled clouds. It is the Legendary Arapahoe Basin.

Since 1946 the Arapahoe Basin has been serving up a fantastic ride for skiers from the Colorado area as well as the world. Arapahoe Basin opened on October 10, 2007 - the earliest opening in its 61 years of operation. Arapahoe Basin receives over 367 inches of snowfall annually. New in the 2007/2008 season - Arapahoe Basin just got 80% bigger with the expansion into Montezuma Bowl!

Our amazing mountain has been rocking the wintertime adventurers for 61 years now. We work hard to preserve the mountain's natural beauty and take steps to see that our patrons do so as well.

From a total of 1200 skiers during it's first season aided by nothing but a tow-rope and a military transport truck to haul them to the base, the Arapahoe Basin now sports 105 trails and multiple chairlifts, stunning over 250,000 people per season!
