Since receiving my wool Baselayer several months ago I really haven’t taken it off. Don’t be fooled by the name, this is not only a Baselayer Piece. It seems to work for ALL cool weather Fall winter and spring activities. When I wake up in the morning I pull it on as a comfy shirt to wear around the house, It, It’s roomy enough to be comfortable yet not too baggy and it’s fabric stretch and flat lock make it oh so cozy. When I wear it to the coffee shop or around town people assume that it is a wool sweater. Nobody notices that I am actually wearing my under ware on the outside. I throw some layers over the top and it becomes my Baselayer for Ice climbing or skiing. The Polartec® Power Dry® with Cocona® Performance Technology fabric make it wick beautifully. It holds up great under repeated washings. I have yet to make it stink, (this is extraordinary in itself) so it is perfect for long road trips. The real beauty of this piece is that it combines simplicity with uber tech fabric. Polartec® Power Dry® fabrics are designed to keep your skin dry when you sweat. The patented bi-component knit construction uses different yarns on either side of the fabric. This creates two different surfaces: one that is optimized to move moisture away from the skin, the other dries quickly.
