Since 1983, Steamboat Powdercats has been a mainstay in the deep powder, backcountry, and snowcat skiing industry. Operating under a 10,000 acre permit within the Routt National Forest, just 20-minutes north from the Steamboat Ski resort; Buffalo Pass, as it is called, receives some of the deepest, driest and most consistent snowfall in all of the Rocky Mountains.

With a fleet of three snowcats, SPC offers all inclusive, full day packages for individuals and groups. Most importantly, SPC books by ability level, separating guests into expert, advanced or intermediate levels prior to arrival. This allows all guests with the confidence that they will not only maximizing their ability in the powder, but that they feel confident that they will be placed into an accommodating group that will neither slow down or speed up the experience of the day.

As an all inclusive tour, SPC provides specialized, fat K2 powder ski’s and snowboards, Tracker avalanche beacons, continental breakfast, a full catered, remote Cabin lunch, fluids and snacks and an après ski party at the end of the day. SPC also will take images of guests during the trip and provide a complimentary image disk to guests when it’s all over.
