The Winter Wildlands Alliance is the first and only national organization working to protect winter wildlands and a quality human-powered snowsports experience on public lands. The WWA works on behalf of snowshoers, skiers, snowboarders, winter hikers, and other outdoor adventurers, addressing national issues that impact our winter wildlands.

SnowSchool is a Winter Wildland Alliance program. SnowSchool is a winter field trip designed specifically for 4th and 5th graders that combines real science with hands-on learning. Bundled up and fitted with snowshoes, kids venture out into America's winter wildlands to discover all the living creatures under the snow.

SnowSchool has 30,000 participants and 32 sites across the United States and Canada - reaching 14 states and provinces. Learn more about SnowSchool by visiting their website
